Architecture

building
It's as though architecture was having a nervous breakdown. Toward the end of the 20th century, architects began to dismantle the basic elements of building design, creating a new deconstructionist approach.

magnificent architecture of Nepal is a form of art which truly captures the culture and
essence of Nepal. Traditional Nepalese architecture attracts both tourists and scholars to this amazing country. The fascinating historical buildings and unique Nepalese architectural designs inspire much awe. Particularly popular is Bhaktapur where tourists can explore numerous outstanding Nepalese architectural structures. Some scholars have divided Nepal's architecture into three non-specific stylistic groups, namely pagoda style, stupa style and shikhara style.

Pagoda Style
This Nepalese architectural style features several layered roofs that have broad eaves carefully held up by carved wood struts. The building's roof is typically crowned by triangular spires surrounding upside-down bell made out of burnished gold. Windows on the structure protrude and are usually latticed. The pagoda style is a true demonstration of fine artistic architectural design. Interestingly, China later borrowed the style which further spread through Asia. Pay a visit to Kasthamandap in the Kathmandu Valley to view an impressive wooden pagoda constructed during the Malla age. Another spectacular example of this intriguing Nepalese architectural style is Basantpur Palace, a nine-story structure commissioned by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. Also make your way the the Nepali temples of Pashupati, Changu Narayan and Taleju.

Stupa Style
A Nepalese architectural style borne out of Buddhist concepts and used in the construction of Buddhist shrines. Stupa architecture is easy to spot. A square base is mounted upon a hemispherical structure. Atop the strong base are thirteen rings layered on top of each other and progressively narrowing to a point. A parasol tops it all off. The square bases, also known as harmika, has pairs of “all-seeing” eyes painted on each of its exposed sides. Swayambhu Shrine and Baudhanath Shrines, declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, are exquisite examples of the stupa style. In Patan you will discover some of the oldest stupas in Nepal that were commissioned by King Ashoka.

Shikhara Style
Nepal's Shikhara style consists of 5 or nine vertical sections forming a high pyramidal or curvilinear tower-like structure. The apex is bell-shaped. This style is not very common, but a fine example can be seen in Patan, it is the Krishna temple.

Be sure to pay a visit to some of these grand structures where you can view Nepal's architecture in all its splendor.

NASA

Sure, there are plenty of astronomers working on Hubble. But there are also thousands of craftspeople, designers, engineers and others who keep the Hubble's show running smoothly. They do very different jobs, but they share the experience of working somewhere quite out-of-t

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA, pronounced /ˈnæsə/) is an Executive Branch agency of the United States government, responsible for the nation's civilian space program and aeronautics and aerospace research. Since February 2006, NASA's self-described mission statement is to "pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research."[4]

NASA was established by the National Aeronautics and Space Act on July 29, 1958, replacing its predecessor, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). The agency became operational on October 1, 1958.[5][6] NASA has led U.S. efforts for space exploration since, including the Apollo moon-landing missions, the Skylab space station, and later the Space Shuttle. Currently, NASA is supporting the International Space Station and has been developing the manned Orion spacecraft.

NASA science is focused on better understanding Earth through the Earth Observing System,[7] advancing heliophysics through the efforts of the Science Mission Directorate's Heliophysics Research Program,[8] exploring bodies throughout the Solar System with advanced robotic missions such as New Horizons,[9] and researching astrophysics topics, such as the Big Bang, through the Great Observatories and associated programs.[10] NASA shares data with various national and international organizations such as from the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite.

Fastest train of the world

France is known for many things, but one of its better-kept secrets is that it is a world leader in rail transport technology. (Rail fans know this, but most of the general public does not.) The flagship of French rail technology is the TGV or Train à Grande Vitesse (“High-Speed Train”), the world’s fastest train. TGVs regularly run at 300 km/h in normal service on some lines. And even this high speed is well below the TGV’s limits: the TGV holds the world’s record for speed on rails of 574.8 km/h (357.2 mph), or roughly half the speed of sound.

In this photograph, you see an example of the most recent TGV Duplex trainset. This trainset, which is part of the Paris Sud-Est portion of the TGV network that serves cities such as Lyons, was parked at the Gare de Lyon railway station in eastern Paris. This third-generation TGV, first built around 1998, differs from its predecessors in that it has two levels, substantially increasing capacity.

Behind the TGV Duplex, you can see a trainset of the first TGV generation, originally put into service around 1980.

Passenger train service is alive and well in Europe, and quite obviously in France. In this station and several other stations around Paris (there are six major railway stations), TGVs depart and arrive literally every few minutes, and they are often fully loaded. At Christmas, these stations are busier than many U.S. airports, with thousands of people per hour arriving and departing for family reunions.

There is nothing quite like a ride in a TGV, and every visitor to France should try to take at least a brief ride in one, if possible (and rides in TGVs tend to be brief!). This is the only train I have encountered that can accelerate so fast that you have to hold on if you aren’t seated. When leaving stations just off the main line, a departing TGV may already be flying along at 100 km/h by the time it clears the platform. This is no surprise when you consider that TGV train sets with second sections (two complete train sets coupled together—a common arrangement on French TGV lines) have a total of nearly 36,000 horsepower. In fact, the maximum speed of a TGV is about twice the speed of a 747 at takeoff—if the train had wings, it could fly.

TGVs are very comfortable, quiet, and smooth-running trains. At speeds below 100 km/h, it is often hard to tell that the train is moving at all from the inside, unless you look out a window. At cruising speed, scenery streaks past the windows so quickly that you cannot become bored. At points where the TGV line parallels major highways, it’s amusing to watch expensive sports cars moving at close to two hundred kilometres per hour backwards with respect to the train!

TGVs are the state of the art in rail transport, and the French are justifiably proud of them. Contrary to what you might think, getting a train to move at over 320 km/h is more than just putting in a bigger motor—the engineering problems are huge. Nevertheless, France has been doing exactly this for nearly two decades, and in fact, it first broke the 200-mph (320-km/h) barrier a half-century ago, setting a record that stood unbroken until France itself again broke the record with the TGV.

Of course, in France, TGVs are commonplace. Some people even live in Paris and commute to Lyons to work (or vice versa) each day by TGV; the distance of over 500 km can be covered in less than two hours (some people spend more time than that just driving in from the suburbs!). The TGV is faster, cheaper, and more practical than aircraft for distances of less than 1000 km (and that covers just about every destination in France). Unlike aircraft, TGVs travel from city center to city center, you can board them immediately, and they are always on time (to the second—I’ve verified this several times).

I recall arriving in a rush to board a TGV that was scheduled to depart at 5:05 PM. I had carefully set my watch, and I arrived at the platform with only about 30 seconds to spare. I scrambled aboard the train at 5:04:57 PM; exactly three seconds later, the buzzer sounded, the doors closed automatically, and the train rolled. By the time I found my seat and flopped into it, the train was already flashing past the Paris city limit (I noticed this by looking out a window—it’s hard to feel any movement inside a TGV). Try that in an airport!

I have photos of some other types of TGVs, if you’re a railfan, including the first-generation TGV Paris-Sud Est, the second-generation TGV Atlantique, the Eurostar, and the Thalys, which serves places like Brussels. I also have a wallpaper image showing a classic “nose shot” of a TGV Atlantique at the Montparnasse station, if you’d like some desktop wallpaper.

Some people have objected that China's magnetic levitation train is faster in normal service (460 kph). That's true, but it's a novelty train that goes only between city and airport, whereas the TGV has been in nationwide service over thousands of miles of right-of-way for twenty-five years. And the TGV can still top 574 kph, even though it stays below that in regular service. When I see a maglev train providing similar regular service, then I'll be impressed, but the occasional small showcase line doesn't impress me, and it's really not in the same league as a day-to-day, nationwide commercial network.

globel warmming (serios problem)

The earth is warming up, and the best available evidence points to the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases as the leading cause.

Deforestation and climate change are intimately connected: Globally, deforestation releases nearly 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide per year, and is responsible for nearly 25 percent of man-made CO2 emissions. The destruction of the world's forests not only harms the communities that depend on them, but increasingly affects us.

Due to global warming the atalantic ocean is melting day by day by 0.25% every year.So scientist are more serious nowdays .They get many tentions so being get solution pollution should be must controlled. If is not controlled then it is sure that in 2020 the contries belongs to sea are being drown such countries are Srilanka ,Maldieves ,India etc

While the root causes of deforestation vary from region to region, there are some common solutions. Communities need seeds, training, and technical support in order to adapt long-standing cultural and agricultural traditions (such as gathering fuelwood in nearby forests and practicing slash-and-burn agriculture) to new realities. Starting nurseries and planting trees is part of this process.

It is not too late. We are solution-oriented people. We have developed programs that work, which are restoring trees and forests to degraded lands. We are working with individuals, communities, and other organizations around the world with a shared vision for a positive change

The destruction of the world's forests not only harms the communities that depend on them, but increasingly affects us all.If one thing refuses to respect sovereign borders, it is the environment. Not surprisingly, environmental degradation and preservation have emerged as major issues in globalization studies. In many parts of the world, the accelerated economic development brought by globalization has produced negative environmental impacts. Examples abound: global warming caused by increased industrial pollution; privatization of 'public' resources such as water; the clearing of land or marshes to make way for farmers trying to eke out more profits on the international markets or for multinational companies looking to build new factories. However, growing global awareness and campaigns by environmental groups are also having some impacts in saving ecosystems and endangered species. The following articles have been assembled to shed light on these and other related issues.

my pilosopy

Earth destructionscientist have said that there is terrestrial magnet on the Earth which is invisible. This magnet lies 17 degree on the equator .In my view that magnet rotate in anti-clock direction which is opposite of clock.Earth is known as black observer which records the every events in past present ,and future.

If earth is divided into 4 parts .four time is occur that is stone age, iron age, gold age, and present age.It is the time of present age(21 century), the magnet is on 17 degree if magnet rotate at the 0 degree,it is sure that destruction of earth.Scientist said that in2012 there is destruction of earth , this not true .but destruction exist many years later.Volcano, earth quake ,tsunami, occur and many people are dyeing it is true that stone age is back, there is destruction of nature. If man can defect the nature it is sure that there is destruction of earth.

Earth have two poles one is north and another is south.Consider two magnet as negative and positive thinking of man.According to Faraday Earth is a magnet and all the matters are magnet in nature. so if people are more positive then negative thinking will attract and vice- Versa. In present day due to the people habits pollution occurs, due to global warming the polar region are melted and scientist have said that if it happen so the sea country drawn in 10 years. If this happen we are no more . so we can settle on the moon so we should be aware of it.

Last stage (imaginariy)

Scientist thought that after death there is life. If there is life , how life may be . One scientist believe on soul , so he got experiment to prove that soul is there or not .The man is in last stage. So he keep him in air vaccum aqurium and slill it then man die.One minute later air vaccum aqurium blast .Scientist believe that on the earth soul is also there. But some scientist does not believe in god and soul.SO soul is invisible and immortial. In my view in last stage of man/woman what did he/she thought ,I think in last stage he/she give message to us.And nature call him .then his soul pass from Umbilical cord.It is true that every events in our life is already written by nature(God). And it is the rule of nature that every body can dieand there no solution in the world.

There is written on the bible that if there is end of sin then in our Earth power(good) will existence. At the last stage of man if he forget his sin and think positive, after death his soul may go to heaven. It is true that heaven or hell is there but it is invisible.Heaven is 100 times beautiful than earth.when child is born he talk father and mother.then slowly he can talk and is brain develobed slowly. When he aged his brain is matured and last stage his mind become like a baby.this process is also vice versa. No body known.......?

Savanna

savana
Savanna , also savannah is a tropical grassland with a scattering of shrubs and small and large trees. Savannas may result from soil conditions, from periodic fires caused by lightning or srt by humans or climatic influences.
Climatically determined savannas, as found in western and southwestern Africa, develop in regions with marked wet and dry seasions where rainful ranges from 100 and400mm a year. These savannas vary from opencanopied forests with a grassy understory to true savannas in which grasses are dominant. When the rainfall is 100to 200mm, generally only grasses can survive the dry seasion. When rainfall reaches 300mm enough water is left to support exceeds 400 mm enough moisture remains during the dry season to allow trees to grow more densely from a canopy shading out the grasses.
Soil determined savannas include the iianos of Venezuela and the campos cerrados of brazil. the latter are characterized by hard crust in the soil formed by feeric oxides.Grasses grow in the soil above the crust trees grow where roots folloing cracks in the crust can reach deeper ground water.

375 million-year-old fossil of "mother fish" discovered

A Museum Victoria team announced its latest and the most remarkable find on 29May-a 375 million-year-old fossil of placoderm fish with intact embryo and mineralized umbilical cord. The fossil, one of the most significant discoveries ever made by scientists, also happens to be thet of the worlds oldest known vertebrate mother. It provides the earliest evidence of vertebrate sexual reproduction, wherein the males(possessing clasping organs similar to modern sharks and rays) internally fertilized females.

This fossil has been named Materpiscis Attenboroughi, meaning "mother fish' in honor of Sir David Attenborough, who first drew attention to the significance of the Gogo sites in his 1979 series Life on Earth.Armorplated shark like fishes with no modern relatives a second placoderm specimen containing three embryos was found earlier in 1986 and only recently recognized. These embryos also provided the first data on their developmental biology ,indicating the early sequence of bone formation in the placoderms growth stages
An ultra fine CT scanner at the Australian National University heiped examine the old fossil in such an extraordinary stage of preservation. The team had also previously announced the first 3-D preserved muscle, nerve and circulatory tissues in a Devonian age(380million years old) fish in 2007 paper in biology Letters .Earlier in 2005 ,Museum Victoria expedition Western Australia led byDr John long made aswag of spectacular fossil discoveries including that of a complete fish Gogonasus showing unexpected features similar to early land animals.

Anaconda-Elephant Killer

anaconda
Anaconda is a common name for large south American snakes that kill by squeezing prey. Anacondas are among the largest and most powerful snakes in the world. Female anacondas grow bigger than males and can reach enormous size, ranking as the heaviest of all snakes.Anacondas spend much of their time in water. They hunt reptiles and mammals, as well as fish and birds. The biggest anacondas can swallow prey a large as caimans or deer. They rarely attack humans.

The name anaconda is said to come from a Tamil word meaning"elephant killer" originally;y used for pythons in Srilanka.Local names for snakes in south America include the Spanish term Matatoro, meaning "bullkiller" and Native American terms sucuri, yakumama, and jiboia.Anacondas are members of the boa family and are sometimes called water boas. Anacondas are only found in South America east of the Andes. The four species have combined rtangwes from Venezuela south to Argentina. The green anaconda is found through much of the Amazon River basin, as well as in the Orinoco River basin and parts of the Guiana region and on the island of Trinidad. The yellow anaconda is found furthers ,through the Parana andUruguay river basins from Bolivia and Argentina. The dark-spotted or deSshauenseeS Brazil and French Guiana . The Bolivian anaconda is manil;y restricted to Bolivia.

Scientific classification: Anacondas belong to the family boidae. There are four species all in the genus Eunectes. The common anaconda is classified as Eunectes murinus and the yellow anaconda isEunectes notaeus. The dark spotted or de Schauensees anaconda isEunectes deschauensees.

Aids and developing countries

Aids is a fatal disease which ultimately leads the patient to death.Aids stands for Acquired Deficiency Syndrome. It proves to be caused as the HIV attacks and destroyed the cells of immune system of the body. The full form of HIV is human Immunodeficiency Virus.Nowadays it has emerged as a global problem.HIV infected people are reported to have been spread all over the world ,but the developing countries have shared a higher percentage. It is more rapidly increasing in developing countries than in developed countries.
AIDS is an incurable diseases. the complete cure for it has not been discovered yet.the symptoms at the initial stage of it are unclear .some of the common symptoms of HIV infection are regular fever more than three weeks loss of weight tan ten percent of the original weight, regular diarrhea more than three weeks and skin rash.

At any stage it can,it Can passed from one person. It is transmitted through the sexual inter course with a person infected with HIV, the transmitted of infected needle, blood etc.It is now most acquirable disease. It is not transmitted by shaking hands ,using towel etc.so we should be most be sensitive towards it. prevention method are by
  1. not using infected needle.
  2. by using temporary method
  3. by not using sexual intercourse

Scientific Discoveries

Science has discovered and invented many facts and devices. The gifts of science are called scientific discoveries. Science has given us many means of transportation and commutation. Buses ,cars, planes and rockets are modern means of transportation: and radios televisions computers and telephones are used in communication.Similarly, there are ample scientific devices used in different spheres of human activities.

Present time is known as scientific era. Many means of scientific discoveries are widely used in various means. nowadays, everyone wants to have radios ,television, telephones computer, etc.Modern means of transport such as cars buses planes ,rocket etc.have changed the mode of our life.we human beings are used to using them in our daily life.

Scientific discoveries can have both good and bad impacts. They certainly provides us many advantages if we use them properly.By using various means of scientific discoveries,we can do any work quickly, comfortably and well. For instance we can travel round the world in24 hours by advanced planes. Many diseases were uprooted by using modern Equipment in communication. We can exchange our ideas and messages quickly.

Scientific discoveries can have negative effects if they are misused.Mi sue of them leads us to failure and destruction. For example if planes and rocket are used as means of war, they certainly invite bad results. Some Terrifying discoveries such as atom bombs, fighters, etc. causes destruction of human civilization.

Present human development depends on science and technology .If the means of scientific discoveries are properly used they offer us good result and if they are misused they provide us destruction. Therefore they should be properly utilized to enhance prosperity and civilization.

Biography:Bill Gates

Computer software programmer and business pioneer born William Henry Gates iii ,on October 28,1955, in Seattle, Washington was son of a lawyer and a school teacher bill began to show an interest in computer programming at the age of 13 in the lake site school. two years later, he created advice that could analyze traffic-patterns. With his fellow student Paul Allen.gates went to Harvard university in1973. he had developed his first product a program language for the fines microcomputer called basic.Gates wanted to spend his time creating software not on classroom. So,he dropped out of hardware in his junior year.He founded micro-soft(later,it was changed to Microsoft) with his linger Friend PaulAliein .along with basic,Gates worked on the company next big product called DOS,which was a basic operating system.

Gates is known as trough competitor in the business world. some people said that he achieved this level of success by thinking question able business ta tics while some thought theta Microsoft was to expand its market share for other application .For example the windows operating system came with the Internet exploer web brow er application companies. the us department of justice blamed the Microsoft might have steeped over the line and sued the company in 1990 for a legged anti rust violation .The court battle went on far years but eventually a settlement was reached in 2001.Gates announced in 2005 that he would set stepping away from the day to day operating of Microsoft to spend more time on the foundations projects and causes. The worlds wealthiest man is putting his money to work to help poor and eradicate diseases.

climate change affects kids mental health

Climate changes could severally upset the mental health of children world wide ,worn medical expects.Extreme weathers events ,drought, financial strain and changes in work ,migration pattern triggered by climate change will cause people to be increasing vulnerable to post traumatic stress disorder and depression said Helen berry,National center for epidemiology and population health (NCEPH) in Sydney"

Mental health problems aren't just collateral damage from climate change, they could well be one of the most profound effects,Warm berry."Climate change amplifies existing risks."particularly for children she added.despite the risk this is an area that has received little attention."The impacts will be more serve for children because they will be exposed to climate change for longer over their life time said Lyndallstazdins of nceph from the Australian nation university.
Children are also less mentally prepared to deal with the stess from climate change related trauma such as bush fines witch are set to increase by up to 75 percent by 2050,said steradians. All of factors interact and could result in great increase.

aliens may pose risks to earth

British physicist Stephen hawking says aliens are out there but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life .Hawking claims in anew documentary titled into the universe with Stephen hawking the intelligent alien life forms almost certainly exist but warns that communication with them could be too risky.

We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we would not want to met.Hawking said."i imagines they might exist in massive ships(UFO) having used up all the resources from their home planet such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach."
The ^* year old scientist said a visit by extra terrestrial to earth might well be like cChristopher Columbus arriving in the Americans,"which didn't turn out very well for the native Americans." He speculated that most extraterrestrial life would be similar to microbes or small animals.Microbial life might exist far beneath the martian surface where liquid water is thought to trickle through the rock.Arin creatures may also conceivably live in huge oceans of water beneath a miles thick layer of ice on Europa a moon Jupiter. But if scientific census could be extended beyond our solar system to the rest of the milky way and beyond the odds in favour of life's existence rise dramatically Hawking said/"Tommy mathematically brain the numbers alien make thinking about aliens perfectly rational he said .The real challenge is to wok out what aliens might actually like. hawking said humanity has put itself on the edge of its own destination by creating nuclear.

Earth is known as living planet of our solar system. It is also known as third planet.many ,many years ago sun"s splits some parts of sun it which contains gas and dust. slowly it cools which contains water and oxygen which means life exist on earth.so it also known as blue planet. The planet formed 4.54 billion years ago and life appeared on its surface within a billion years.

Earth contain magnetic field which attar ts the objects.due to the gravitational field(magnetic) every objects falls on the earth surface. In a magnet there is north and south so earth beavers like a magnet.According to Faraday all the objects in the earth beavers magnet.there for human beings also a magnet.Scientist have said that there is a invisible magnet on the earth which lie 17 degree in the equator .according to magnet it attacks metal so it repeals south pole.in my view that invisible magnet rotate in anti clock direction where clock rotate in clock wise direction.earth is divided into four parts that is truth time, dropa time,tratatime,kaliyuk(21century).it is the 21 century there is warning to all living creatures on the earth that truth time is came soon.time of 21century is no more.because of humanbiengs activities such as deforestation, pollution etc.IT causes harmful for living beings, volcano, hurricane, land slide sis created which symbol that truth time is back.Earth revolve itself in 24hours but it revolves around sun for 1 year. it has one moon. the magnet on the earth takes millions year to rotate it.
